This session has ended. Feel free to explore other areas of the event platform.

Software all around the world is getting to a point at which it's mature enough and secures enough that simple XSS and SQLi attacks that used to work in the past are no longer effective. Since those attacks are harder to execute, hackers are slowly but steadily moving from hacking computer systems to hacking humans in order to gain access to computer systems. Humans have thus become the weakest link in the chain of security.

Join us in our presentation in order to learn how to recognize the methods hackers are using and what YOU can do to protect yourself and the company against Social Engineering.

Alex Stoian
Alex Stoian
QA Automation Engineer
2Checkout

Alex Stoian graduated Economics and Business communication holding a thesis on Social Media and how it affects the world from an economic, technical and social perspective. While the skills he obtained would prove useful in the future, he would never work in the economics industry and soon after graduating discovers that he has a passion for IT and Security. Alex has been fiddling with security on and off since 2012 using Kali and the tools the OS comes with. He has however chosen to pursue a career in the Automation field.
With over 5 years hands-on experience on automation testing using his JavaScript, bash and python scripting knowledge he is now currently an employee of 2Checkout and strives to one day go back to his first love - security.
Alex likes to perform hacking challenges his favorites being OverTheWire and HackTheBox. He applies a hacker's mentality throughout his everyday work and wants to expose what he knows about hacking techniques and methodologies in order to make the web a better place.
