Mihai joined LSEG in 2019 to build the LSEG Technology team in Bucharest and is now leading the Enterprise Agility function involved in large scale transformational programmes across the firm. He has over 15 years of experience in various engineering roles across Finance and Telecom industry. He is passionate about engineering excellence.
Catalin is a sustainable investments manager at LSEG Romania and has been active in the sustainability space for over 7 years. He draws on his experience in ESG and international law to create value by bringing together people, profit and planet. John Kain leads Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) worldwide market development efforts in the Financial Services industry. In this role, he is responsible for the development and execution of AWS’s strategic initiatives across a wide range of financial service institutions.
His teams work with these organizations to transform their existing businesses and bring new, innovative solutions to market by leveraging AWS services. John has more than 20 years of experience developing solutions for financial services companies.
Before joining AWS 5 years ago, he led the Global Transaction Surveillance Program for J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank, where he headed the coordination and execution of strategy, technology delivery, and governance to address the organization’s regulatory mandates. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, John ran NASDAQ’s high-frequency execution, real-time market risk, and reporting services business with responsibility for product strategy, development, and operations.
He also gained extensive experience in all aspects of product ownership—including market analysis, business development, technology management, and P&L oversight—working at two venture-backed financial technology companies.
Neil Boston is CIO for Capital Markets Technology. In his role, Neil is accountable to the Chief Information Officer, Tony McCarthy and to Murray Roos, Group Director, Capital Markets. He is a member of both the Technology Leadership Team and the Capital Markets Leaderships Team.
Neil joins us with extensive leadership experience in Capital Markets and was most recently CTO at Capula Investment Management. He has also worked in executive leadership roles in Investment Banking & Technology at UBS, Foreign Exchange, FICC eTrading & Technology at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and FX Technology roles at both Citi and Barclays.
Rob joined the Group on 13 July 2020 and serves as the CIO for Post Trade along with a regulated role as CTO for LCH Ltd. In his role Rob is accountable to the Post Trade CEO Dan Maguire, Group CIO Tony McCarthy and LCH Ltd CEO Isabelle Girolami. He is a member of the Technology Leadership and Post Trade Leadership Teams
Rob joined LSEG from Deutsche Bank where he worked for the past 14 years, most recently as one of the senior CIOs for the Investment Bank, but has experience across Corporate Finance and Transaction Banking. Rob has held roles in Fixed Income, eTrading, Equities, Primary Issuance, Prime Brokerage, Market Risk and Structuring.
Previously Rob has worked at JP Morgan, Deloitte, KPMG, and IBM. Rob holds a BSc from Leeds University in Information Systems & Management specialising in Artificial Intelligence.
Barbara Wray is an experienced and passionate leader with a demonstrated history of driving business change through technology innovation and process improvement. She is a strong technologist with in-depth knowledge of the exchange business.
Barbara has lead successful delivery of high quality, low latency, and complex IT systems for regulated, global financial institutions like the New York Stock Exchange, the ICE and most recently at the London Metal Exchange. She is a business driven strategist with delivery focus and the strong background in architecture and software engineering. Coming from the software quality background she is a strong champion of embedding excellence in every aspect of the software development with a vision to create IT systems which enable the business and delight customers.
She has joined the LSEG on 28th of June 2021 as the Head of Capital Markets Shared Technology to lead a new function focused on delivering common capabilities that support all Capital Market platform and products including: data platforms and analytics, exchange administration, data reference systems, reporting, Trade surveillance, Data science and billing.
George is Head of Securities and a keen technologist who still loves coding and building platforms. He studied electronic engineering in Scotland and Germany. He joined Deutsche Bank as an IT graduate working in front office technology in 1997.
He worked on many trading desks and also in risk, building solutions in multiple technologies. He left Deutsche Bank in 2017 and was head of Technology for a Payments Fintech company for 5 years. He recently joined LSEG so that he could work on the most critical infrastructure for Financial services.
Julian Bullock is the Head of Engineering and Innovation for Post Trade technology. Originally from New Zealand – Julian has spent most of life working all over the world including Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, Ireland Canada and currently the United Kingdom.
He spent his first few decades working in Telecommunications industry on billing systems, traffic management, provisioning systems and fraud and revenue leakage platforms. He moved to London and the finance industry 15 years ago joining Deutsche Bank where he worked in Risk, regulatory reporting and sales and research systems. He tries to remain as hands-on as he can and is particularly interested in emergent technologies such as DLT and data science.
Andreea Stanescu is the General Manager for LSEG Romania, being in charge with the Technology Services Centre the Group has opened in Bucharest. Since her appointment in 2018, she has been growing the Centre of expertise to more than 550 professionals. Andreea was also appointed in 2021 in the role of Business Infrastructure Services Excellence Director within the Infrastructure&Cloud Group Technology.
Andreea has held several senior operational and IT infrastructure roles. Prior to joining LSEG she worked at Stefanini, where she was Vice President EMEA Delivery. In her role, she was responsible for managing seven office locations across Europe, serving global international clients. Andreea has also held roles at Optima Solutions and Services and Vodafone Romania, where she was a member of the Executive Council.
Mihai Dragomirescu has joined LSEG in October 2018 as Platform Engineering Manager for UnaVista and moved to a Senior Software Engineering Manager role in December 2021 to lead the build out of software engineering teams for Market Operations Technology (part of Capital Markets Shared Technology) with a focus on configuration over customization and reusable components.
As hobbies, he enjoys practicing via ferrata and ski touring, but those activities are now sabotaged due to a +2 family expansion.
