Endodontic treatment is a predictable procedure with a high success rate. The success depends on several factors, starting with an adequate diagnosis, going through a sequence of steps that will have an impact on the outcome of the treatment.
The understanding that the outcome of the treatment has a multifactorial nature is of high importance, as well as making the patient an integral part of the whole process.
In recent years, the dentist has shifted from a clinician-centered approach to a patient-centered approach. With this presentation we intend to present some clinical challenges, as well as the respective therapeutic decisions, always trying to orient the approach towards a patient-centered outcome.
