Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dana Cristina Bratu graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, "Victor Babeș" University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Timișoara, Romania, where she also completed her PhD studies in Dental Medicine. She specialized in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics, general dentistry and pedodontics, obtaining competencies in oral implantology and preventive dentistry. She carries out her professional activity both in the field of higher education, as well as in the private dental clinic. She teaches orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics for the 6th year dental students and coordinates the orthodontic residents within the U.M.F. „Victor Babeș” from Timișoara. Member of three scientific research projects, lead author and co-author of 11 books, 37 scientific articles published in ISI impact factor journals, multiple other articles in journals indexed in international databases, with over 145 participations in national and international scientific events and over 40 courses of professional training in the country and abroad. The main areas of interest: orthodontic biomaterials and biomechanics, skeletal anchorage, orthodontic mini-implants, maxillary expansion techniques, interdisciplinarity.
