An increasing number of adults of all ages are undergoing adjunctive and comprehensive orthodontic treatment, which has its particularities compared with orthodontic treatment in growing patients, although many of the main treatment objectives are similar to. Frequently skeletal pattern, dental and periodontal status, TMDs dictate deviation from the ideal treatment plan or bring challenges in management of the orthodontic treatment. For this reason an interdisciplinary treatment is needed for a good result in adult patients and a good cooperation of the team is mandatory, as this lecture will present in a clinical case series.
