An increasing number of adults of all ages  are undergoing  adjunctive and comprehensive orthodontic treatment, which has its particularities compared with orthodontic treatment in growing patients, although many of the main treatment objectives are similar to. Frequently skeletal pattern, dental and periodontal status, TMDs dictate deviation from the ideal treatment plan or bring challenges in management of the orthodontic treatment. For this reason an interdisciplinary treatment is needed for a good result in adult patients and a good cooperation of the team is   mandatory, as this lecture will present in a clinical case series.

Magdalena Enache


Dr. Magdalena Enache DDS, PhD graduated from the Faculty of Stomatology, C. Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania in 1991. She received her specialty in orthodontics in 1995 and PhD degree in Dental Medicine in 2005 from the same university.

Dr. Enache also completed a Master in Lingual Orthodontics at Ferrara University, Italy in 2010, as well as a Mini – Residency Program – An Advanced and Comprehensive Program on Temporomandibular Disorders (2016) and Orofacial Pain Shadowing Program (2017) at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA and attended a lot of courses and congresses worldwide.

Since 1992 she has been teaching Orthodontics as Assistant Professor, Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Faculty of Dental Medicine, C. Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest. She lectures at congresses nationally and internationally, being involved in research and  scientific papers publishing.

She is member of American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), European Orthodontic Society (EOS) and World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO)
