Periodontitis is a widespread oral disease that has multiple systemic implications, making it a real public health concern.
Despite the growing knowledge of the multifactorial nature of this condition, periodontitis treatment outcomes are still poor.
The main culprits are:
. Poor early diagnostic
. Inappropriate patient’s communication
. Invasive treatments
. Narrow focus procedures
To tackle this problem, I would like to propose you, in this presentation a novel approach to periodontitis management inspired by precision medicine like the one used in cancer treatments.
