Recently there have been numerous innovations in the field of implant surgery, and among these there has been great interest in electro-magnetic instruments . This procedure makes use of a electro-magnetic instrument, Magnetic Mallet, to perform osteotomies. The main feature of Magnetic Mallet is to permit to the surgeon to operate in an easier and faster way, assuring the greatest possible comfort to the patient, both in complex implant surgeries and in simple one. This is especially convenient when it is necessary to perform osteotomies near delicate anatomical structures e.g. sinus membrane. Another feature is to perform more regular and neater bone cuts if compared to those made by common surgical burs. These features are particularly useful in implant surgery because we have improved control of the insert during procedure in total assurance . Clinical applications and research outcomes will be shown in cases of implant surgery .
