Complex cases usually require interdisciplinary treatment involving endodontics, surgery and prosthodontics, with aesthetics as a final touch. Patients come with serious dysfunctions of the stomatognathic system, consisting of vertical dimension loss due to old terminal edentulousness associated with vertical tooth migrations, inclinations, but we also see patients with exaggerated dental abrasions that also need rehabilitation of occlusal dimension.
CAD/CAM chairside systems help us in solving these complicated cases by following well-established steps and rules. In addition, creating crowns in the office using digital techniques has the advantage of immediate aesthetic correction and reduced treatment time, which is very much appreciated by patients.
Dr Anca Vereanu’s 26 years of clinical experience started in 1996 as assistant professor in the Oral Implantology Department of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, within the Central Military Hospital.
A period followed in which she combined teaching practical laboratories to sixth year students with practising dentistry at Central Military Hospital, which had an important contribution to her experience and the decision to choose a second speciality, dentoalveolar surgery.
She got her Master’s degree in oral implantology, then her PhD in ENT, under the leadership of Prof. Codruț Sarafoleanu as her advisor, at Sf Maria Hospital in Bucharest.
In 2003 she opened her first private dental practice, and in 2010 she founded the Dr. Vereanu Clinic.
Her teaching activity in the Oral Implantology Department ended in 2016, after 20 years of great collaboration with the Faculty of Dental Medicine, and a very special relationship with the students.
2019 saw an expansion of the clinic, and in 2022 an old passion project was completed - Dental Training - a training and specialization centre for doctors and nurses. This place is intended for both doctors interested in professional development, and nurses skilled in prophylaxis and surgery.
Dr Vereanu is the representative of “Leading Ladies în Dentistry” world organization (https://ladiesindentistry.org/anca-delia-vereanu) in Romania and is a member of the General Assembly of the College of Dentists. In 2021 she won the International Dentsply Sirona Prize – Smart Integration Award – in the Digital Workflow category.
