This session has ended. Feel free to explore other areas of the event platform.

Modern security operation centers (SOC)s offer a handful of services ranging from incident response to vulnerability management. These services require tools, and such tools have dashboards. To reduce complexity, SOCs have invested in centralize data management tools along with tools that can automate response leading to the SIEM, SOAR and XDR markets. The key to successfully leveraging all of these tools within a SOC is DevOps.

This talk will look at how DevOps is used within the modern SOC. You will learn about common SOC services, what tools are used and how DevOps can be applied to improve each SOC service. You will also learn about the type of careers available within the SOC that heavily leverage DevOps capabilities. Joseph is a security architect at Cisco Systems and published author on topics including SOC, threat hunting and cyber defense.
