Khaled has over 20 years in PE and has lead over 30 investments in Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa banks and SMEs in various economic sectors. He is also an active angel investor and activist for startup ecosystem development in Africa. Before AfricInvest, Khaled was a strategy consultant at Proxicom, VA, USA, a company listed on the Nasdaq, where he led strategy consulting mission. Prior to joining Proxicom, Khaled was an analyst with Barlcays Bank in Paris France.

Aziz has over 20 years of experience in the private equity industry both in the Maghreb region and in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has participated in raising around US$1 billion in private equity funds as well as structuring and executing more than 50 equity transactions on the investment and divestment sides. He acts as a board member for several investee companies in the Maghreb region, Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. Between 1991 and 1994, he was the General Manager of two industrial companies, ILVA Maghreb and Tunisacier International (which are affiliates of ILVA, a large Italian conglomerate), having held various management positions in these companies since 1988. Aziz is a graduate of the engineering university École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France.

Ziad Oueslati, Co-Founder and Managing Director, AfricInvest AfricInvest. Ziad has extensive experience negotiating equity and quasi-equity operations. He has been responsible for raising several private equity and quasi-equity funds. Ziad led the arrangement and placement of over $1.2 bn million in private equity funds, both locally and internationally. He acts as a board member for several North and Sub-Saharan African companies. Prior to co-founding AfricInvest in 1994, Ziad held different management positions at Citibank in New York and in Tunis, where he was Head of Financial Institutions and Capital Markets Department. Ziad holds a Master’s of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the French engineering school École des Mines de Paris. Ziad is member of the Board of major local, regional, and emerging markets private equity associations and other Associations that foster Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Africa.

Ann is a Senior Officer at AfricInvest, responsible for client relations. Ann has worked as an economist and head of Emerging Markets Research at both Citi and Nomura. Ann is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA), and Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (Masters).
