Esolutions Grup SRL, Bigstep Cloud SRL and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “Esolutions”, “Bigstep”,“we”, “us” or “our”), are information technology services companies based in Bucharest, Romania, organizers of 2020 Bucharest Big Data Week event.
Esolutions respects your privacy (by “you” we mean any current or prospective Esolutions event attendee, client or supplier whose personal information is in our possession) and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and the privacy of the personal information we collect.
Esolutions will process the personal data only to the extent and in such a manner as it is necessary to provide the services under the agreement or as otherwise instructed by the customer or the supplier from time to time.
Our personal information practices are described below, in any applicable privacy supplements, and in notices regarding data collection.

We may receive information about you from third parties we work closely with (such as business partners, service providers, sub-contractors, etc.).
Any Personal Information that you choose to submit via the Big Data Week website, related blogs or forums may be read and collected.
Esolutions may engage the services of third-party partners which, in the process of supplying services to Esolutions, may collect Personal Information about you, which may include your name, email address and online activity.
Types of collected Personal Information
Contact information: such as your name, job title, telephone and fax numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, current place of work. When you express interest in obtaining additional information about our events, we require that you provide the aforementioned contact information;
Transactional information: such as billing information
Optional information: any other information that you choose to give us. This information helps us tailor our services to you;
Information collected via automated means: information that we collect through information-gathering tools, such as cookies. This kind of information includes information from your web browser – browser type, language, IP address and your activity on Esolutions websites (the web pages viewed, the links accessed, number of visits, domain name, language information, etc.);
Any information regarding your medical or health condition, race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs or other such private information is considered sensitive information and we will not intentionally collect, maintain or provide such information to third parties.

We need the required Contact Information, Transactional Information and Billing Information for processing orders (including payments), for providing you the services and to fulfill other contractual obligations;

We use the collected information to prevent and to detect fraud or abuses of the Esolutions website and services, and to be able to identify and protect our business from fraudulent transactions. It is both a legal obligation and in our legitimate interest to collect information for this purpose;

For what period do we retain personal information?
Esolutions maintains personal information for the following retention periods:
Information about you we collect to engage in transactions with our customers, suppliers and business partners, and to process purchases of our products and services, will be retained for the duration of the transaction or services period, or longer as necessary for record retention and legal compliance purposes.
Contact information such as your email address or phone number collected online on our sites or offline from our interactions with you at Esolutions events and conferences, and used for direct marketing and sales activities will be retained for as long as we have an active (customer) relationship with you. We treat you as an active contact if (i) you have interacted with Esolutions or updated your contact details and preferences in the past 18 months; and (ii) you have not made a deletion request.

To the extent necessary for the provisions of services, we may disclose your Personal Information to third party service providers, if necessary. They are required to maintain a proper level of privacy and security, consistent with Esolutions policy regarding such information.

If we are under a legal obligation to share your Personal Information, we may disclose the information to the relevant authority. If necessary, given each particular case, we may be required to retain certain information for legitimate business purposes and by law.
When using Esolutions services, you can choose not to provide certain information, but this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the available functions, and it may prevent us from successfully providing you with our services.
Esolutions has implemented appropriate technical, physical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, as well as all other forms of unlawful processing.
However, we cannot guarantee that the measures taken will prevent every security threat. In the event of a security breach which results in an unauthorized disclosure of information, we will notify you as soon as possible.
We take reasonable steps to help ensure that the data we collect is accurate, complete and up-to-date, for it to be reliable for its intended use. The collected information will be retained for as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
Information about Children
We will never intentionally collect or maintain information about individuals defined as minors in local law or regulation. However, if you believe that we are in possession of such information, please contact us, and we will make necessary inquiries and investigations and, if necessary, delete that information.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small files which are stored on a user’s computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website and can be accessed either by the web server or the client’s computer. The usage of cookies allows the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user, or the page itself can contain some script which is aware of the data in the cookie, and so it can carry information from one visit to the website (or related site) to the next. Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.
Can I see/view the cookies I have on my computer?
Most browsers have a configuration screen which allows you to see what cookies have been stored on the computer, and, optionally, to delete them. Note that it is not possible for a website to view cookies set by other sites, as this would represent a privacy and security problem.
When are cookies created?
Writing data to a cookie is usually done when a new website is loaded – for example: after a ‘submit’ button is pressed, the data handling page would be responsible for storing the values in a cookie. If you have opted to disable cookies, then the write operation will fail, and subsequent visits to our website which rely on the cookie will either have to take a default action or prompt you to re-enter the information that would have been stored in the cookie.

Types of cookies we use
Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date unless deleted by you before the expiry date. On the other hand, a session cookie will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
We use both session and persistent cookies on our website.
We use persistent and session cookies to recognize a computer when a user visits our website, track users as they navigate the website, improve the website’s usability and to administer the website, to prevent fraud and improve the security of the website and to target advertisements which may be of particular interest to specific users.
We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website. Our analytics service provider generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies. The analytics cookies used on our website have the following names: __utma, __utmz, _ceg.s, _ceg.u, _ceir, _ga, _gat. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of our website.
Our website also uses third-party cookies, from services such as Facebook and LinkedIn, in order to deliver ads within these social networks. Perfect Audience cookies are used for remarketing purposes and myconnector.ro cookies are created and used in order for us to fulfil our contractual obligations, giving the users access to the tickets, depending on their preferences. This category of cookies can last up to one year.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
To turn on third-party cookie blocking, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then click “Internet Options” from the drop-down list.
Click the “Privacy” tab and set it to “Medium High.” By doing this, you will block all third-party cookies.
When you’ve finished, click on the “OK” button to exit the Internet Options and save the changes.
Tap or click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the browser window. Select “Settings” at the bottom of the menu.
In the settings tab/window tap or click on “View advanced settings.”
Now, in the advanced settings, under the Cookies heading, click the drop-down menu and select “Block only third party cookies.”
Close the settings tab/window and Edge will now block third-party cookies.
For Firefox, click the three lines in the upper-right corner, then click “Preferences.”
With the Preferences open, note that there’s an option to turn on Firefox’s Do Not Track option. Below the Tracking preferences, click “Remember History” and then select “Use custom settings for history” option.
From the custom history settings screen, click the drop-down list next to “Accept third-party cookies” and then choose “Never.”
On Chrome for desktops, click the three lines in the upper-right corner, then click “Settings.”
Scroll to the bottom of the settings and click “Show advanced settings” at the bottom of the settings screen.
On the advanced settings screen, click “Content Settings…” under the Privacy heading.
With the content settings open, click the box next to “Block third-party cookies and site data.”
Apple Safari on OS X
On Safari for OS X, you will need to open the Preferences by clicking on the Safari menu, or using the old standard keyboard shortcut “Command +.”
With the Preferences open, click the “Privacy” tab, then under “Cookies and website data” click “Allow from current website only.” At the bottom of the Privacy tab, there’s also an option to turn on Safari’s Do Not Track feature.
Click on the “Menu” tab in the upper-right corner and select “Settings.” From there, click on “Show Advanced Settings,” at the bottom of the menu, and then “Content Settings.
Chrome gives you four options when it comes to how to deal with cookies. You can store all cookies without discretion, store all cookies but delete them once you close your browser, block cookies entirely (we don’t recommend this), and block third-party tracking cookies.
Click on “All cookies and site data…” to see a list of all the cookies Chrome has stored on your hard drive. From there you can delete specific files individually or delete everything by selecting “Remove All.”
Click on the “Tools” menu button at the top, and in the drop-down menu, select “Options.” Navigate to the “Privacy” tab and under “History” set Firefox to “Use custom settings for history.”
Click on “Show Cookies…” which appears once you’ve enabled custom settings for your browser history. From there, you can scroll through a list of cookies accumulated by Firefox, clear them individually or remove them all as a group.
Apple Safari OS X
Click on the Safari menu in the upper-left corner and scroll down to “Preferences.” Alternatively, in the same menu, choose “Clear History,” and you can delete everything in one go, from a variety of time frames. If you would much prefer to have more control over what is deleted, choose the “Preferences” option.
In the “Privacy” section, you can use “Cookies and website data” to dictate whether or not Safari should accept cookies. You can use the option “Remove All Website Data” to remove everything in one fell swoop. Alternatively, click on “Details” to see a list of each cookie stored in the browser.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer, click on the “Tools” menu, and select “Internet Options.”
To delete all cookies, head to the “General” tab under “Internet Options” and then click “Delete…” under the “Browsing History” tab. Check “Cookies and Website Data” and click delete.
Open up Edge and in the top right-hand corner, click on the three horizontal dots. Then choose “Settings.”
On the next screen, make sure “Cookies & Saved Website Data” is checked. Then click “Clear.”
