At Red Hat, I lead automation projects, focusing on project management and building relationships with other departments. A decade in different areas of the IT industry has taught me that every single person is different and has a unique working style. As a manager, my role is to recognize this and find the right balance between giving people enough space to cope with problems on their own and being a useful mentor who helps them navigate.
The most rewarding moments for me are then those, when I look back and see that I’ve built a team that no longer needs me: effective and self-organized. I reconnect with my inner introvert and compensate all the “people time” by escaping to the mountains; I love climbing, hiking and skiing. I’m also an avid travel blogger and photographer.
