DevHacks is a 24h hackathon that focuses on the intersection of the technology and society. Our mission is to bring together a diverse range of perspectives, from young IT professionals to seniors, from developers to designers and to ignite the flow of ideas between different participants.

Since 2015, our focus is to gather our forces to develop smart ideas for a better society. So, last year our teams have developed applications that help companies to delegate better the tasks or help hypermarkets to provide better services for the customers though the delivery and security service.

At the 5th edition, DevHacks brings together over 200 IT professionals, 65 teams and more than 40 mentors that will be part of an intense competition of coding and challenges like: Women in Tech, Security, FINTECH, Digital Transformation, Future in Banking, Smart City & Smart Car, Robotics, Gaming, Social Impact (Education & Health & Environment), Civic TeenHacks and not only.

Our goal is to empower people through technology to solve problems and face day by day challenges. Developers, designers, freelancers, entrepreneurs and students are invited to code, have fun, and bring their ideas to life in 24hours. Top mentors from the IT&C industry will be part of the DevHacks' experience and will help the teams with their feedback throughout the competition. Moreover, the participants will get the chance to code for leading tech companies in Romania.

On 23&24 November, we encourage coders of any age with Java, JavaScript, C/ C++, Python, Blockchain or Web & Mobile, to join us in teams or individually to come up with their original ideas and contribute to the everyday impact on our society!
