Session Description

The United Nations predicts an increase in world population to over 11 billion by 2100. All of these people will have to be feed. Increasing worldwide demand for food, a changing climate, and a limited supply of water and fossil fuels. Also, unsustainable farming is having negative environmental impacts. Agriculture of the future has to be more efficient and reduce environmental pollution at the same time. IoT devices bring numbers of opportunities to agriculture. Precision farming is a new farming management concept and tailored to the specific conditions of every field. Sensor integration, automatic control, information processing, and network communications capabilities are a part of this concept. The real-time agriculture data contains knowledge about what farming industry needs, how to imply production more efficient and how to establish a better security and IoT market for the agriculture industry.
